Propallylonal(trade namesNostal,Quietal,Ibomal) is abarbituratederivative invented in the 1920s.[1]It hassedative,hypnoticandanticonvulsantproperties,[2]and is still rarely prescribed as a sleeping medication in some Eastern-European countries.
