Puri Beachor theGolden beachis a beach in the city ofPuriin the state ofOdisha,India.It is on the shore of theBay of Bengal.It is known for being a tourist attraction and aHindusacred place.[1][2]The beach is the site of the annual Puri Beach Festival, which is co-sponsored by theIndian Ministry of Tourism,the city of Puri
, theDevelopment Commissioner of Handicrafts,and theEastern Zonal Cultural Center,Kolkata.[3]The beach hostssand artdisplays, including work by international award-winning local sand artistSudarshan Pattnaik.[4][5][6][7]The Golden Beach at Puri was awarded the prestigious 'Blue Flag' tag on October 11, 2020 by the Foundation for Environment Education (FEE), Denmark.
