R. Michael Youngis aRepublicanmember of theIndiana Senate,representing the 35th District since his appointment in December 2000.[6]He succeededMorris Mills.[7]He was elected to theIndiana House of Representativesin 1986.[8]In 1992, Young was redistricted and was reelected to the 92nd district.[9]Young previously served on theMarion CountyBoard of Zoning Appeals from 1980 to 1982. He ran for theUnited States House of RepresentativesforIndiana's 4th Congressional Districtin2002[10]and in2010.[11]
