RH-34is acompoundwhich acts as apotentandselective partial agonistfor the5-HT_2A serotonin receptorsubtype. It was derived by structural modification of the selective 5-HT_2Aantagonist ketanserin,with the 4-(p-fluorobenzoyl)piperidinemoietyreplaced by theN-(2-methoxybenzyl)pharmacophorefound in such potent 5-HT_2Aagonists asNBOMe-2C-BandNBOMe-2C-I.This alteration was found to retain 5-HT_2Aaffinityand selectivity, but reversed activity from an antagonist to a moderateefficacypartial agonist.^[2]^[3]^[4]
