Ranch (brothel)

Ranchis a common name used to describe abrothel,especially in western areas of theUnited States.

Origin

This usage dates back to the originalChicken Ranchnear the town ofLa Grange, Texas,an old brothel that is no longer open which accepted chickens as payment during theGreat Depression.Over time the place became overrun with chickens.
