Ravneet Singh Bittuis an Indian politician from Punjab. He is currently serving as theMinister of State for Railwaysand as theMinister of State for Food Processing Industriesin theThird Modi ministry.Bittu was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of theParliament of IndiafromLudhianain2014and2019 Indian general electionand earlier fromAnandpur Sahibin2009.[3]He is the grandson of formerPunjab Chief MinisterBeant Singh.[4][5]He previously served as the leader ofIndian National CongressinLok Sabhafrom 11 March 2021 to 18 July 2021.[1][2][6]

In January 2021, he was assaulted at the Singhu border during a Jan Sansad program.[7][8]He was appointed the party whip in Lok Sabha.[9]In March 2021, he was briefly appointed theleader of the Congress in the Lok Sabhawhen the existing Congress Lok Sabha leaderAdhir Ranjan Chowdhurywas busy in2021 West Bengal electioncampaigns.[10]In 2023, he received a bomb threat via aWhatsAppcall.[11]On March 24, 2024 he joined theBharatiya Janta Party.[12][13]
