Reinbek(German:[ˈʁaɪnbeːk] ;probably from "Rainbek" = brook at the field margin;Northern Low Saxon:Reinbeek) is a town located inStormarndistrict in the northernGermanstate ofSchleswig-Holsteinwithin the metropolitan region ofHamburg.It can be accessed by theA1,theA24autobahn,federal highway 5and theS-Bahnline S2.[2]
Reinbek was first mentioned in 1226, the city rights were given in 1952. The town is located at the riverBillewhich was dammed up here to form a mill pond.
