Rita Taggartis an American film and television actress. She is known for playing Carla Bouvier onNight Court.
Biography
[edit]Taggart was the third wife ofcinematographerHaskell Wexlerfrom 1989 until his death at age 93 in 2015.[1]
On television, Taggart portrayed Blanche onSteambath,[2]: 1017 Marie Roscini inHello, Larry,[2]: 450 Diane inEye to Eye,[2]: 319 and Joan Foley inAlmost Grown.[2]Her TV acting credits included guest role appearances on such shows asRhoda,Taxi,Kate & Allie,Scarecrow and Mrs. King,Quantum Leap,Coach,andCagney and Lacey.
Her film credits include the made-for-TV movieJames Dean(1976),Coming Home(1978),The China Syndrome(1979) and the TV movieWait Till Your Mother Gets Home!(1983). She has most recently appeared in the filmsCirclein 2010 andGo for Sistersin 2013.
