Robert Barry (politician)

Robert Barry(1731–1793)[1]was anIrishpolitician and barrister.

He was the third son ofSir Edward Barry, 1st Baronet.[2]He was educated atTrinity College, Dublin.[3]In 1750, he was admitted toLincoln's Innand in 1753, he graduated with aBachelor of Arts.[4]He was appointed aKing's Counselin 1768.[4]Between 1761 and 1776, Barry sat in theIrish House of CommonsforCharleville,[1]the same constituency his father had also represented before.

In 1762, Barry married Elizabeth Lyons, daughter ofHenry Lyons,a Member of Parliament forKing's County.[5]He married Elizabeth La Touche, daughter of James Digges La Touche in 1780.[2]
