Roberta Capua(born 5 December 1968 inNaples) is an Italian television host, actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crownedMiss Italia 1986and placed 1st Runner-up atMiss Universe 1987inSingapore.

Biography

She became known in the Italian entertainment world with her election asMiss Italiain 1986.[1]Her motherMarisa Jossahad been awarded the same title in 1959. The year after she placed 1st Runner-up atMiss Universe.[2][3]

In 1986, she had her first television role in the music contestVota la voce,hosted byClaudio Cecchetto.She came back on TV in 1992 to lead theRetequattro's programI bellissimi di Retequattro;three years later she replaced for some weekPaola Baraleas soubrette of the Italian version ofWheel of Fortune,namedLa Ruota Della Fortuna.[4]

From 1996 to 1998, she presented withLuciano RispolitheTelemontecarlo's daily programTappeto volanteand, from 1995 to 1997, hostedAspettando Beautiful,a short show on air before the famous soap operaThe Bold and the Beautiful,andNonsolomoda.

In 1998, hosted withGiancarlo Magallithe primetime showFantastica italiana,onRai 1,and in thesummerof the same year presentedCercasi Miss Italia disperatamente.

From 1998 to 2002, together withTiberio Timperi,hosted the weekend-morning showsMattina in famigliaandMezzogiorno in famiglia,while from 2001 was in the cast of the daily morning showI fatti vostri,aired byRai 2.[5]From 2002 to 2004 she led other two morning shows,Unomattina,withLuca Giuratoand then withMarzo FranzelliandCaterina Balivo,andS.O.S. - Unomattina,aired byRai 1.

In September 2004 switch toMediasetreplacingLaura Freddiin the SundayCanale 5's showBuona domenica,withMaurizio Costanzo,where she remained for two seasons, until 2006. Between January and April 2006 hosted the Saturday afternoon showTutti pazzi per i reality,a talk show about the most important events of thereality showsaired byCanale 5,Grande fratelloandLa fattoria.In thesummerof 2005 also hosted the Saturday primetime showSei un mito.

In 2007, hosted some events:Speciale buon compleanno Radio Italia,Speciale Natale in Vaticano,Dancing on Iceand the pilotLa seconda volta.

In 2008, she had her first son, Leonardo, from the consort Stefano Cassoli, she also had a relationship with the swimmerMassimiliano Rosolino.

In 2017, she won the first edition of Celebrity Masterchef Italy.[6]
