TheSanjak of Serfiğe(Greek:Σαντζάκι/Υποδιοίκησις Σερβίων) was a second-levelOttomanprovince (sanjakorliva) centred on the town of Serfiğe (Servia) inwestern Macedonia,now part ofGreece.
Thesanjakwas founded in 1881, after the Greek annexation ofThessaly(thesanjakofTirhala), initially as an independent province, and after 1889 as part ofManastir Vilayet.In 1912, the province encompassed sixkazas(districts):Nasliç(Voio), Serfiğe itself, Kozana (Kozani), Kayalar (Ptolemaida), Nasliğ (Neapoli, Kozani), Grebene (Grevena) and Alasonya (Elassona).[1]
Thesanjakwas conquered by theGreek Armyin October 1912, during theFirst Balkan War.
