Seidel's sign(also calledSeidel's scotoma) is a sickle-shapedscotomathat is a superior or inferior extension of theblind spot.It occurs in some patients withglaucoma.[1]

History

In 1914, German ophthalmologistErich Seidelfirst described the glaucomatousvisual field defect,Seidel's scotoma.[2]
