TheSetun(Russian:Се́тунь) is ariverin the west ofMoscowand the largesttributaryof theMoskvain Moscow. The length of the river is 38 kilometres (24 mi), 20 kilometres (12 mi) of which is in Moscow itself. Itsbasinhas an area of 190 square kilometres (73 sq mi).[1]The Setun originates in the village ofSalariyevoinMoscow Oblastand flows into the Moskva nearKrasnoluzhsky Road Bridge,opposite to the former village ofLuzhniki.The river teems withroach,European perch,crucian carp,pike,and otherfish,but is of no value to thefishing industrydue to pollution withtoxic waste.

The border territory upon both banks is included inSetun River's Valley wildlife sanctuary,placed in the Moscow city bounds.
