Shriram Groupis an Indianconglomerateheadquartered inChennai.It was founded on 5 April 1974 byR. Thyagarajan,[3]AVS Rajaand T. Jayaraman.[4][5][6]The group had its beginning inchit fundsbusiness and later on entered the lending and insurance businesses.

  • Shriram Finance is the flagship company of the Group which provides financial services such as commercial vehicle finance, passenger vehicle finance,SMEfinance and retail lending (personal loans,gold loans and two-wheeler loans).[7]It is formed in 2022 as the result of a merger[8]of Shriram City Union Finance[9][10]and Shriram Capital into Shriram Transport Finance.[11]
  • Shriram Housing Finance is a subsidiary of Shriram Finance and mainly provideshome loanservices.[12]
  • Shriram Life Insurance is thelife insurancearm of the group, and a joint venture between Shriram Group and South African companySanlam.[13]
  • Shriram General Insurance is engaged in commercial and retailvehicle insurance,home insuranceandtravel insurance.It is a joint venture between Shriram Group and Sanlam.[14]
  • Shriram Financial Ventures is theholding companyandpromoterof Shriram Group's financial services and insurance businesses. It is jointly owned by Shriram Ownership Trust (SOT) and Sanlam Group.[15]
  • Shriram Properties is a real estate developer focusing on mid-income housing projects, primarily inSouth India.[16]
