Skognis a village inLevangermunicipality inTrøndelagcounty,Norway.The village is located on the eastern shore of theTrondheimsfjorden,about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) southwest of thetown of Levanger.TheEuropean route E06highway runs through the village, just past theFiborgtangenindustrial area located along the shore. There is aNorske Skog Skognpaper mill at Fiborgtangen. TheNordlandsbanenrailway line stops in the village atSkogn Station.[3]

The 1.12-square-kilometre (280-acre) village has a population (2022) of 1,960 and apopulation densityof 1,751 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,540/sq mi).[1]

The village of Skogn was theadministrative centreof the oldmunicipality of Skognfrom 1838 until the municipality was dissolved in 1962.
