Slieve Croob DEA within Newry, Mourne and Down

Slieve Croobis one of the seven district electoral areas (DEA) inNewry, Mourne and Down,Northern Ireland.[1]The district elects five members toNewry, Mourne and Down District Counciland contains the wards of Ballydugan, Ballyward, Castlewellan, Drumaness and Dundrum.[2]Slieve Croob forms part of the South Down constituencies for theNorthern Ireland AssemblyandUK Parliament.

It was created for the2014 local elections,replacing parts of theBallynahinch DEAand parts of theNewcastle DEAwhich had both existed since 1985.
