Somiedo(Asturian:Somiedu) is a municipality in the Autonomous Community of thePrincipality of Asturias,Spain. It is bordered on the north byBelmonte de Miranda,on the east byTeverga,on the west byTineoandCangas del Narcea,and on the south by theprovince of León.[2]
It is the second least densely populated municipality in Asturias.
All of the municipality forms part ofSomiedo Natural Park,which has been declared abiosphere reservebyUnesco.[3]
