Souk El Azzafineis one of thesouksof themedina of Tunisand where themusiciansused to meet.[1]

Etymology

It got its name from theArabicwordazzafathat means « music playing ».

Bimaristan Al Azzafine, which is ahospitalthat was built during the reign ofHammuda Pashain 1662, is located in this Souk.
