Space Hulk: Tacticsis aturn-based tactics video gamedeveloped byCyanideand published byFocus Home Interactive.The game is set in theWarhammer 40,000universe and is based upon the turn-based strategytabletop miniaturesboard gameSpace Hulk.The game was released on 9 October 2018.[1]

Gameplay

Players can play as one of four chapters ofSpace Marines(Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves and Ultramarines) or their opponents, grotesque aliens known asGenestealerswho come in four different factions.[2]The game has two single-player campaigns, one you play as Blood Angels, the other as the Genestealers, along with competitive PvP multiplayer and a skirmish mode.[3]A map builder allows players to create their own maps and scenarios to share with others.[4]It is aturn-based tacticsgame[5]and has elements ofdeck-building games.For example, players can use cards togive bonusesto their characters or refreshaction points.[6]

Space Hulk: Tacticsreceived mixed reviews onMetacritic.[7][8][9]Charlier Hall forPolygonpraised the customisation options for players.[10]Fraser Brown, writing forRock Paper Shotguncriticised the games pace and UI which "punishes even tiny mistakes".[11]IGNcalled it "a wonderfully challenging, asymmetrical tactics game in spite of its poor PC controls".[12]
