Sperrinis one of the seven district electoral areas (DEA) inDerry and Strabane,Northern Ireland.[1]The district elects seven members toDerry and Strabane District Counciland contains the wards of Artigarvan, Ballycolman, Dunnamanagh, Glenelly Valley, Park, Strabane North and Strabane West.[2]Sperrin forms part of the West Tyrone constituencies for theNorthern Ireland AssemblyandUK Parliament.

It was created for the2014 local elections,largely replacing theGlenelly DEAand theMourne DEAwhich had existed since 1985.
