Statistics Korea(KOSTAT;Korean:통계청;Hanja:Thống kê thính;RR:Tonggyecheong) is a government organization responsible for managingnational statisticsinSouth Korea.KOSTAT is headquartered inDaejeon,South Korea and operates under theMinistry of Economy and Finance.[1]

Statistics Korea generates population and householdcensusyearly (every 5 years until 2015).[2]It also gathers analytic and administrative statistics.[3]
