Steve Bacic(/ˈbeɪsɪk/BAY-sik;[1]Croatian:Bačićpronounced[ˈbatʃitɕ]) is aCanadianactor.He is known for playing the charactersGaherisandTelemachus Rhade[1]on the Sci-Fi seriesGene Roddenberry's Andromeda.[2]After guest starring in seasons 1-3 as both characters, he joined the cast early in season 4 as Telemachus.[1]In total, he was in 44 of the 110Andromedaepisodes. Beginning in 2013, he co-starred as "Jason" inthe Hallmark Movies & Mysterieschannel Garage Sale Mysteries series of TV films.
Biography

Bacic was born inLisičić,a village inCroatia,and raised inWindsor,Ontario,Canada.[3]
In his mid-twenties, a road trip with friends led to settling intoVancouver,British Columbia,where, intrigued by all the television and film production going on there, he decided to stay and took acting classes. He read for a bit part in the 5th season of21 Jump Streetbut instead landed the lead guest-starring role.[1]
His television roles have included appearances onStreet Justice,The Outer Limits,Highlander,Stargate SG-1,Smallville,ER,[2]Republic of DoyleandThe X-Fileswhere he played a SWAT officer who douses himself with gasoline in a memorable episode. His film appearances includeThe 6th Day,Threshold,X2and theHallmark ChannelfilmThe Colt,[4]andDeck the Halls,Safe HarborandShe Made Them Do ItonLifetime.
Bacic also playedPrince Barinin the 2007Flash GordonTV series. His TV seriesThe Guard[5]premiered January 22, 2008 onGlobal Television Networkin Canada.[2]He plays Miro Da Silva, one of the four leads.[6]The series is a drama series about theCanadian Coast Guard.[7]He was cast as "Dark Archer" in the ninth season ofSmallvillein episode 10 called "Disciple".[8][9]He played Goran on theHBOseriesBig Love,[10]season 4. He also plays the character Trevor Wilson (formerly Bobby) in season one ofJulie and the Phantoms.
