[edit]Storyville Coffee operates multiple coffee shops in theSeattle metropolitan area.The Seattle Timeshas described Storyville as a "roaster and mail-order coffee company".[1]Bainbridge Islandhouses their Roasting Studio; the business also has shops indowntown Seattlewith their flagship location being in theCorner Marketbuilding atPike Place Market.[2]In addition to coffee, the shops serve sandwiches and baked goods.[3]
History
[edit]Storyville was established on Bainbridge Island in 2006. The company announced plans to operate at Pike Place Market in 2013, occupying the space which previously housed Chez Shea.[4][5]The business Storyville's third coffee shop opened inQueen Annein 2014.[6]The Queen Anne location has since closed and was replaced byCafé Hagen.[citation needed]
During 2013–2014, a writer forThe Strangerasked readers not to support the company because of the author's claim of a connection to theMars Hill Church.[7][8][9]
Employees filed a petition to unionize in 2022.[10][11]
