TheSulawesi giant rat(Paruromys dominator) is a species ofrodentin the familyMuridae.[3]It ismonotypicin thegenusParuromys.The species isendemictoSulawesiinIndonesia,where it inhabits forests at elevations from sea level to the tree line.[1]It isfrugivorousand semiarboreal.[1]While not currently listed as threatened, it is impacted by bothhabitat destructionand subsistence hunting.[1]
