Table Nunatak(68°30′S62°57′W/ 68.500°S 62.950°W/-68.500; -62.950) is a flat-topped, rectangularnunataklying 0.5 nautical miles (0.9 km) east ofCape Agassizon the east coast ofPalmer Land.This is probably the feature first seen in 1940 by members of theUnited States Antarctic Service(USAS) and described as a snow-coveredislandclose east of Cape Agassiz. The nunatak was again sighted by LieutenantCharles J. Adams,of the thenUnited States Army Air Forces(USAAF), pilot with theRonne Antarctic Research Expedition(RARE) on a flight in September 1947. The name is descriptive.
