Thecontentious topicsprocedure applies to this page. This page is related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, which has beendesignatedas a contentious topic.
This article should adhere to thegender identityguideline because it contains material about one or moretrans women.Precedence should be given to self-designation as reported in the most up-to-date reliable sources, anywhere in article space, even when it doesn't match what's most common in reliable sources. Any person whose gender might be questioned should be referred to by the pronouns, possessive adjectives, and gendered nouns (for example "man/woman", "waiter/waitress", "chairman/chairwoman" ) that reflect that person'slatestexpressed gender self-identification. Some people go bysingulartheypronouns, which are acceptable for use in articles. This applies in references to any phase of that person's life, unless the subject has indicated a preference otherwise. Former, pre-transition names may only be includedif the person was notable while using the name;outside of the main biographical article, such names should only appear once, in a footnote or parentheses. If material violating this guideline is repeatedly inserted, or if there are other related issues, please report the issue to theLGBT WikiProject,or, in the case oflivingpeople, to theBLP noticeboard.
Not a well made page, I know. But a place holder. Due to the number of articles she is featured in, I'm believe she meets the criteria of a notable person.
It does, but the dates make it look as though the cited article is mistaken: if she's 48 she couldn't have been born before 1961, and the [T-39]] andA-3_Skywarriorplanes debuted in the mid-1950s. Can anyone find corroboration of the Herald Sun's claims?Gonzonoir(talk)14:07, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
