This article needs a history section. The name "Northumberland" comes from Northumberland in England, formerly the Kingdom of Northumbria. Many of the early settlers of Northumberland county in New Brunswick immigrated from this part of England/Scotland, landing at Beaubears Island, located in what is now Miramichi City. Coincidentally, many of the English speaking people to settle this region of are actually of French heritage, since the Kingdom of Northumbria was conquered by the Normans.
Orphaned references inNorthumberland County, New Brunswick
[edit]I check pages listed inCategory:Pages with incorrect ref formattingto try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content fororphaned referencesin wikilinked articles. I have found content for some ofNorthumberland County, New Brunswick's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct forthisarticle, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
