on line 8. This makes the link target also changed by the name parameter for its usecase.Aaron Liu(talk)19:48, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is it me? or is there one extra{{{that has not been closed with}}}?P.I. Ellsworth ,ed.put'er there22:57, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct, that has been fixed. I confused the parameter with the magic word.Aaron Liu(talk)23:06, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ToeditorAaron Liu:now it looks like the{{urlencode:has not been closed with}}.EditorTrappist the monkis correct. This needs to be tested thoroughly. Please reopen this request after successful testing has been performed.P.I. Ellsworth ,ed.put'er there23:38, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would recommend against this change without there is some sort of testing that proves that it works. That is why we have ~/testcases pages; proper testing would have caught that error.

Thanks for the advice, I have now made fixed changes to the sandbox and results can be seen inTemplate:IMDb name/testcases.The only testcases that don't pass are where the new behavior takes effect, so I believe this is a success.Aaron Liu(talk)00:19, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Paine Ellsworth@Trappist the monkWould you like to review this again?Aaron Liu(talk)13:52, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fix link to redirect at "IMDb name at IMDb" - IMDb links toIMDb (identifier)instead ofIMDb.Eurohunter(talk) 16:24, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Eurohunter(talk)16:24, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. The purpose of[[IMDb (identifier)]]in this template is to prevent this template, used in ~152,000 articles from contaminatingSpecial:WhatLinksHere/IMDb.Similar redirects exist for|isbn=,|pmc=,|doi=,etc parameters in cs1|2 templates (and the matching{{ISBN}},{{PMC}},{{DOI}},etc templates).
