The Store Bar shootingwas amass shootingon 25 June 1976 by theRepublican Action ForceatThe Store Bar(which was also known asWalkers Bar) on Lyle Hill Road inTemplepatrick,County Antrim.

The Republican group sprayed the pub with anAR-15assault rifle killing three people and injuring about a half a dozen. The victims were Ruby Kidd (28), Francis Walker (17) and Joseph McBride (56), all Protestant civilians.[1]

Aftermath

A week after the bar shooting the UVF carried out agun attack on a Catholic-owned pub, the Ramble Inn,six people were killed in the attack five of them Protestants and just one Catholic which was considered a failure or "own goal" by the UVF. The shooting was carried out because the bar owners where Catholics.[1]
