Tokanois aTrans–New Guinea languagespoken by approximately 6,000 people inLower Asaro Rural LLG,Eastern Highlands Province,Papua New Guinea.It is also known asGamuso, Tokama, Yufiyufa, Zaka, Zuhozuho,andZuhuzuho.

There are currently few publications. A collection offolk talestranslated by John Guhise was produced bySILin 1977,[2][3]and there are also portions of theBibleavailable in Tokano.
