Thomas Alan Rolanderis an American entrepreneur, engineer, and developer of themultitaskingmultiuseroperating systemMP/Mcreated formicrocomputersin 1979 while working as one of the first employees[3][4]ofDigital Research[5][6][7][1][8]withGary Kildall,[1][9]the "father" ofCP/M.CP/M and MP/M laid the groundwork to later Digital Research operating system families such asConcurrent CP/M,Concurrent DOSandMultiuser DOS.He also developedCP/NET.[6]
