Toronto Azzurri Blizzardwas a Canadian women's semi-professionalsoccerclub based inToronto,Ontariothat competed in the women's divisionLeague1 Ontario.The club was formed as a partnership between two local area clubs - Toronto Blizzard SC and Toronto Azzurri SC.
History
[edit]The club was founded in 2017 as a joint partnership between Toronto clubsToronto Blizzard SCandToronto Azzurri SC.[1]The Toronto Blizzard SC was a re-formed club from theoriginal club of the same namethat played professionally in theNASL.[2]They played their home matches at Azzurri Village inNorth York.[3]
The club joined the women's division ofLeague1 Ontariofor the2017 season.[4][5][6]They played their first match againstSanjaxx Lions,losing 1–0.[7]After a 2018 season in which they lost every game of the season,[8]they left the league following the 2018 season.[9]
