Tricia Leigh Fisher(born December 26, 1968)[1][2]is an American actress and singer.

Early life[edit]

Fisher was born inBurbank, Californiato singerEddie Fisherand actressConnie Stevens.[1]Her older sister is actress and singerJoely Fisher.[3]She has twohalf-siblings,actor and producerTodd Fisherand actressCarrie Fisher,from her father's previous marriage to actressDebbie Reynolds.Fisher's paternal grandparents were Russian-Jewish immigrants.[4][5][6][7]Her father had married five times, the third time to Stevens. Fisher's parents divorced when she was a baby and she and Joely were raised by Stevens, who never remarried. As children, both Tricia and Joely began performing onstagein their mother'sLas Vegasshow.[8]

Acting[edit]

Fisher made her debut in the 1985crimedramaStick,starringBurt Reynolds,Candice Bergen,George Segal,andCharles Durning.She then starred as Daphne Ziegler in the 1986comedyPretty Smart.In 1987, Fisher appeared in thetelevision movieStrange Voices,oppositeValerie Harper.The following year, she landed a role in the TV movieBring Me the Head of Dobie Gillis,also starring her mother as well asDwayne HickmanandBob Denver.In 1989, Fisher appeared in two movies,Hollywood ChaosandC.H.U.D. II: Bud the C.H.U.D.,followed by roles in the 1990 comedy,Book of LoveandArizona DreamstarringJohnny Depp,Jerry Lewis,andFaye Dunaway.[9]

In addition to Fisher's work in movies, she has also made guest appearances onOur House,Growing Pains,Ellen,Wild Card,7th Heaven,and'Til Death.In 1996, she portrayedHeidi Fleissin theCBStelevision movieThe Making of a Hollywood Madam.

On October 7, 2006, Fisher was honored atThe Thalians51st Anniversary Ball along with producerMarc Cherry,her mother Connie Stevens, and her sister Joely Fisher. They performed together at the event at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel inCentury City, California.[10]

In September 2011, Fisher and her husband, actorByron Thames,appeared in her mother's Las Vegas stage show.[11]In July 2012, Fisher, her husband and children began appearing on theABC Familyreality seriesBeverly Hills Nannies.[12]

Music[edit]

Fisher performed the theme song for her 1986 moviePretty Smart,and released a self-titled debut album forAtco Recordsin 1990. The album's single "Empty Beach", written byDennis East,was a modest hit.[13][14]
