Trino(Piedmontese:Trin) is acomune(municipality) in theProvince of Vercelliin theItalianregionPiedmont,located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast ofTurinand about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southwest ofVercelli,at the foot of theMontferrathills.
Trino borders the following municipalities:Bianzè,Camino,Costanzana,Fontanetto Po,Livorno Ferraris,Morano sul Po,Palazzolo Vercellese,Ronsecco,andTricerro.
Trino was the site ofEnrico Fermi Nuclear Power Plant.TheRomanesquechurch of San Michele in Insula (built in the 10th–11th centuries) has 12th-century frescoes. TheLucedio Abbeyis also located in the municipal territory.
