Tsuyoshi Nakaima(なかいま cường,Nakaima Tsuyoshi)is a Japanesemanga artistwho is the author and artist of sportsmanga.He is best known for theSumoseriesUcchare Goshogawara,for which he received the 1989Shogakukan Manga Awardinshōnencategory.[1]and which got anOVAadaptation in 1991. Between 1999 and 2011, his golf mangaThe Golden Rough(Ougon no Rough ~Sōta no Stance~) was released in 33tankōbonvolumes.

Nakaima was an avid baseball player throughout high school and college but had to quit after shoulder injury. He became an assistant toAkio Chibabefore creating manga on his own. Nakaima is fromOkinawaand it has been noted how some of his character useOkinawan Japanese.[2]
