Ubaldo Aquino Valenzano(born May 2, 1958) is a retiredfootballrefereefromParaguay,[1]best known for supervising two matches (Germany-Saudi Arabia[2]andSweden-Senegal)[3]during the2002 FIFA World CupinSouth KoreaandJapan.[4]
Aquino is known to have served as aFIFAreferee during the period from 1995[5]to 2003.[6]He officiated in numerous international competitions, including the1999 FIFA Confederations Cup,[7]1997 FIFA World Youth Championship,[8]and qualifying matches for the1998,[9]2002,[10]and2006[6]World Cups. Aquino also served as a referee in the1999[11]and2001 Copa Américacompetitions, officiating the final in 2001.[12]
After retiring from his career as a match official, Aquino has worked as referee coordinator for theAsociación Paraguaya de Fútbol.[13]
