My name isJoseph R. P.(you can call meJoseph,Joe,WaddlesJP13,orWaddles) and I am a 19-year-old (born 10 March 2005) car enthusiast and geography nerd living inWoodbridge,Virginia,United States. My work on Wikipedia usually consists of working on pages for cars, towns, and roads as well as creating and editing disambiguation pages. I volunteer with reviewingpages, drafts, andpending changesin my free time. I also like to makeuserboxes(I have made hundreds of them to choose from!), andI can make one for you too.
I should clarify that I am not anadmin.I can't delete your pages nor can I un-delete them. People have asked me to do so before and, while I understand their intentions, it just gets old. I also cannot block you, either. If you got a message on your talk page telling you your page was tagged forspeedy deletionthen notice it was deleted, consider contacting the admin that deleted it by clicking on the red-linked page and viewing the displayed deletion log.
Further note that I am a human. I make mistakes sometimes and I do my best to correct them. I always edit ingood faith. If I make a mistake, justlet me know.I prefer to be informed over yelled at (and I'm sure most Wikipedians do), so if you message me, consider laying off of the insults and explain what the situation is.
I was born on March 10th, 2005 as a first child inFairfax,Virginia, lived inManassasfor about a year, and spent about half of my life growing up inLas Vegas,Nevadabefore moving back to Virginia toWoodbridgewhere I currently reside.
As immature I am around my friends, family, and elsewhere on the internet, I take contributing to Wikipedia seriously as I have spent countless hours creating and improving articles. Wikipedia has also introduced me toOpenStreetMap,which I also spend a lot of time contributing to alongside Wikipedia. I joined 00:58, 20 April 2018 (April 19th, 2018 at 7:58 PM) (however I have contributed since 26 May 2017 as an IP user) as a 13-year-old and I usually create and edit pages for cars, towns, and roads as well as create a number ofdisambiguationpages and helping withpage reviewing. When I was new and inexperienced on Wikipedia, I did make a few mistakes here and there, and would be confidently incorrect with some of my edits, but then eventually I learned how everything worked and I then createdmy first articleon 4 May 2019. Apparently, I'm aWikipediaholic, and got a 388 on theWikipediholism test.
If anybody wants to know how I came up with my username, the 'Waddles' nickname dates back to 2013 when I signed up forClub Penguinat age 8 with the username 'waddlesj8'. 'Waddles' is the name of a plushpenguintoy I had (and still do somewhere in this house), 'J' stood for 'Joseph' and '8' was my age. Since then, I've tweaked the username to include "JP" (first and last initials) as well as capitalization and change the number at the end to be my age of account creation.
I am a huge car enthusiast. I'm one of those guys who could name (almost) any car by looking at the taillights in the night. Now there are a lot that I have trouble with, mostly older cars, such as some classic American cars and a lot of European cars. I do stumble with identifying modern German cars such asBMWs,Audis,andMercedes-Benzes,more specifically those built from 2000-2015. Newer models have started to differentiate themselves a bit in my opinion.Staying on topic and not rambling off about cars...my knowledge and interest centered around cars has really influenced what I do here on Wikipedia.
I absolutely love playing racing games such as those in theForzaseries, and I enjoy reading news articles sites like Carscoops and CarNewsChina and watchingYouTubevideos on cars. More productive than digitally driving cars or reading and watching videos about them is actually writing about them on Wikipedia, as you get to share that interest in cars with the world all while educating them on the things you know involving them. Specifically, I like to create articles for Asian cars, usually Chinese cars and occasionally Indian and Japanese ones. I've gota userpageand evena WikiProjectboth dedicated to cars inChina.
My first article on Wikipedia I've created was for theAion S,a Chinese electric sedan, though the first I ever TRIED creating was for theBYD Yuan(might've been locatedhereas a draft), when I was a dumb little 11 year old and didn't even know how Wikipedia worked. I've since learned how a lot of things work on the site and I now dedicate a lot of time on here creating articles for obscure cars from China and other countries.
Aside from what I do on Wikipedia, I havea sectionon my Wikimedia Commons userpage where I upload pictures of cars I see that interest me. Feel free to use them if needed!
I make mistakes, which are normal for humans to make, and in my self-defense I try my best to fix them I when I do make them. However, my oblivion to my surroundings and any sort of project I could be working also can lead to me screwing up some things, and, as well as, in some cases, minor arguments. Sometimes I forget where my phone went while I'm using it. Sometimes I don't hear people when they're yelling my name. Sometimes my blessing of a brain skips over a word in a sentence, in text form or in real-life listening to people talk. So, if I make mistakes over texting or in real life, that means I'm prone to making mistakes on Wikipedia too, right? Correct. From as minor as a general spleling error along with the the erroneous extra word, to somehow missing thefeatured articleicon onan articleand nominating it forgood articlestatus, mistakes and autopilot choices by me on Wikipedia are not uncommon, and, like I said at the start, I really do try to fix them so I don't cause any disruption or get any admins involved for a dumb accident. To my fellow Wikipedians, if I have caused any sort of disruption, such as the time I tried to moveGMC motorhomewhen I was a new user, I owe my sincerest apologies.Waddles🗩🖉21:59, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
I makesimple, clean, andfunuserboxes. You can view my created userboxeshere. If you would like me to make you one, leave a message onmy talk page.If you do not care for my style of userboxes I can make you a personalized one, just be descriptive when describing what you want it to look like. You can send a photo you like or I can find one for me to put in there. I will reply to you with a few userboxes fitting your description.
Here are somesignaturesthat I've created that you can use for yourself too. Feel free to alter the colors, symbols, font, etc. (if you don't want to be confused for me at first glance). Make sure your username isn't too long, since the code is already quite long enough on this series of signatures and it may not fit when you enter the code in your preferences. Also not that some icons may not render properly, especially if you have some fonts installed. I use Google Chrome and have no fonts installed, so they render just fine for me.
Example🗩🖉— Original signature. The blue used is the same used forwikilinksand other buttons (such as the publish button, checkboxes, etc.).

Nice to see that someone is dedicated to doing the same stuff that I'm doing, expanding the articles on Chinese automobiles. I know it's probably more difficult for you considering that you're not in China, but nice work! Keep it up.Jengtingchen(talk) 02:37, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diligence
This seemed appropriate given your efforts at AfD, ANI, and on your own talk page. The civility with which you handled having one of your own closures reverted was especially impressive.St★lwart11123:44, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
