(1) calcitriol + NADPH + H++ O2calcitetrol + NADP++ H2O
(2) calcidiol + NADPH + H++ O2secalciferol + NADP++ H2O

Vitamin D3 24-hydroxylase is aheme-thiolateenzyme (P-450).
