Vriitya Aravind(born 11 June 2002) is an Indian-borncricketerwho plays for theUnited Arab Emirates national cricket team.[2]He plays aswicket-keeper batsmanfor theUnited Arab Emirates cricket team.[3][4][5]In October 2019, he was added to the UAE's squad for the2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiertournament, replacingGhulam Shabber.[6]In December 2019, he was named in theOne Day International(ODI) squad for the2019 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series.[7]Aravind made his ODI debut against theUnited Stateson 8 December 2019.[8][9]Later the same month, he was named in the UAE's squad for the2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[10]

In February 2020, he was named in the UAE'sTwenty20 International(T20I) squad for the2020 ACC Western Region T20qualifier tournament.[11]He made his T20I debut for the UAE, againstIran,on 23 February 2020.[12]

In March 2022, in the sixth match of the2022 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series,Aravind scored his first century in ODI cricket, with 115not outfrom just 76 balls.[13]

Personal life

Aravind was born inChennai,India.[3]He studied at Kings School Al Barsha inDubai.[14]He moved to England in 2020 to attendLoughborough University.[15]
