Warren D. Leary

Warren D. Leary, Sr.(December 3, 1891 – May 19, 1959) was an American politician and newspaper editor.

Born inElmira, New York,Leary served in theUnited States ArmyduringWorld War IandWorld War IIand was the inspector general of the32nd Division.He received his bachelor's degree fromColumbia University School of Journalism,where he was a member ofSigma Chi,and also attended theUniversity of Grenoble.[1]Leary worked for theNew York Heraldand theNew York Tribune.He was also editor ofLe DigesteurinQuebecand the Chippewa Falls Gazette. He was part owner, publisher, and manager of theRice Lake ChronotypeinRice Lake, Wisconsin.In 1933, Leary served in theWisconsin State Assemblyand was aDemocrat.He died in Rice Lake, Wisconsin in 1959.[2][3][4]
