William Korey

William Korey(16 June 1922 – 26 August 2009)[1]was an American lobbyist on international issues forB’nai B’rith.He was also a director of theAnti-Defamation League.

Korey wrote the influential bookThe Soviet Cage,one of a half-dozen books he published in the course of his career.[2]

Personal details

Korey graduated from theUniversity of Chicago.[2]He served in the American Army duringWorld War II.He attended the Russian institute atColumbia University,inspired by interactions with Russian soldiers.[2]After attaining his doctorate, Corey taught for a number of years, including at theCity College of New York.[2]
