Charles F."Willie"Geny(November 14, 1913 – December 19, 1999)[1]was an Americancollege footballandbasketballplayer for theVanderbilt Commodores.He was football'sSoutheastern Conferenceplayer of the year in1935.As captain of the Commodores, he led them to their first defeat of rivalTennesseein nine years.[2]He was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.[3]He later sold insurance. Geny persuadedBilly Joe Adcockto attend Vanderbilt.[4]
