Awineskinis an ancient type of bottle made ofleatheredanimal skin, usually fromgoatsorsheep,used to store or transportwine.

History

Its first mentions come fromAncient Greece,where, in the parties calledBacchanalia,dedicated to the godBacchusby the vintage of this drink, the sacrifice of the goat was offered, following which the wineskin could be made that would conserve the wine.[1]
