Wong Hon Wai(simplified Chinese:Hoàng hán vĩ;traditional Chinese:Hoàng hán vĩ;pinyin:Huáng Hànwěi;Jyutping:Wong4 Hon3 Wai5;Pe̍h-ōe-jī:N̂g Hàn-úi / Ûiⁿ Hàn-úi;born 1 March 1973) is aMalaysianpoliticianwho has served as Member of thePenang State Executive Council(EXCO) in thePakatan Rakyat(PR) state administration under former Chief MinisterLim Guan Engfrom March 2008 to May 2013 as well as in thePakatan Harapan(PH) state administration under Chief MinisterChow Kon Yeowand Member of thePenang State Legislative Assembly(MLA) forPaya Terubongsince August 2023. He served as theMember of Parliament(MP) forBukit Benderafrom May 2018 to November 2022,[1]and the MLA forAir Itamfrom March 2008 to May 2018. He is a member of theDemocratic Action Party(DAP), a component party of the PH and formerly PR coalitions.
