History
[edit]Woolfords was built to house the mineworkers for the coal, lime and shale mines ofCobbinshaw,Tarbraxand Baads Mill. Nearby Cobbinshaw is much older.
Transport
[edit]It once had its ownrailway stationon theCaledonian Railway's Edinburgh toCarstairsLine. The station was located north ofAuchengray railway station.
