Xyniada(Greek:Ξυνιάδα) orXynias(Ξυνιάς) is a village and a former municipality inPhthiotis,Greece.Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipalityDomokos,of which it is a municipal unit.[2]In the 2021 census, the municipal unit was recorded as having 2,264 inhabitants, and the village of Xyniada itself 301.[1]The municipal unit has an area of 206.820 km2.[3]The village takes its name fromLake Xyniada,which covered the local plain until it was drained in 1936–42. The ruins of the ancient city ofXyniae(medieval Ezeros) are nearby.
