María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona(born November 8, 1997), known professionally asYoung Miko,is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter and former footballer.[9]In 2022, she released her debut EP,Trap Kitty,featuringLatin traptracks. In April 2024, she released her debut studio album,Att.,featuring collaborations withFeid,Jowell & Randy,Villano Antillano,Elena Rose,and Dei V. Morelia

Early life

Ramírez was born inAñasco, Puerto Rico.[10]She began writing poetry while attending a Catholic school inMayagüez, Puerto Rico.[10]

Career

In 2018, she started rapping her lyrics to beats she downloaded fromYouTube.[10]Ramírez uploaded these initial songs toSoundCloudunder the name Young Miko.[10][11]Her first song was "Quiero".[11]Meanwhile, she worked as atattoo artistfor 4 years to pay bills and music studio costs.[10]

In 2022, Ramírez released her debut EP,Trap Kitty,featuringLatin traptracks.[10]She incorporates her identity and interests into her music including anime, urban music, andThe Powerpuff Girls.[12]On July 27, 2023, herreggaetonsong "Classy 101"reached number 99 on theBillboardHot 100,marking her first appearance on the chart.[11]
