Zhang Zeduan(simplified Chinese:Trương chọn đoan;traditional Chinese:Trương chọn đoan;pinyin:Zhāng Zéduān;Wade–Giles:Chang Tse-tuan;1085–1145),[1]courtesy nameZhengdao(Chinese:Chính đạo), was a Chinese painter of theSong dynasty.He lived during the transitional period from theNorthern Songto theSouthern Song,and was instrumental in the early history of the Chinese landscape art style known asshan shui.He is known for paintingAlong the River During the Qingming Festival.
