Tim Rice

SirTimothy Miles Bindon Rice(born 10 November 1944) is an English lyricist and author. He is best known for his collaborations with Disney onAladdin,The Lion King,the stage adaptation ofBeauty and the Beast,and the original Broadway musicalAida;withBjörn UlvaeusandBenny AnderssonofABBA,with whom he wroteChess;and withAndrew Lloyd Webber,with whom he wrote, among other shows,Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,Jesus Christ Superstar,andEvita.He also wrote lyrics for the Alan Menken musicalKing David,and forDreamWorks Animation'sThe Road to El Dorado.
