Primeros años y educación
[editar]Su padre era un exitoso peletero de Budapest, que había huido de Hungría tras elPutsch de juliode 1934. La familia se trasladó aBridgeportpoco después de su nacimiento. Gottfried estudió en laUniversidad Yeshivade Nueva York y regresó a Connecticut para cursar estudios de posgrado en Yale. Perteneció alYale Political Union's Party of the Right(en español, Partido de la Derecha de la Unión Política de Yale).[2]
Carrera profesional
[editar]Gottfried se opone a laconstrucción de nacionesy es un ávido crítico de la política exteriorintervencionistaestadounidense.[3]
Gottfried es también la primera persona que utilizó el término "derecha alternativa",al referirse específicamente a la evolución de la política de la derecha estadounidense, en 2008,[4]Richard B. Spencercocreó el término con Gottfried mientras trabajaban juntos en la revistaTaki's Magaziney ayudó a que ganara amplia difusión a través de la atención mediática que rodea a las conferencias organizadas por su think tanksupremacista blancoNational Policy Institute.[5][6][7]
En 2018, se incorporó alInstituto de Ciencias Sociales, Económicas y Políticas,fundado porMarion Maréchaly Thibaut Monnier, enLyon, Francia.[8]
Gottfried es el corresponsal en Estados Unidos deNouvelle École,una revista de laNouvelle Droitefundada por elGRECEen 1968.
